SOUTHSIDE ELMIRA LOCATION (HURLEY TOPSOIL PIT)
Weather and soil conditions permitting, our Elmira location is open Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3PM for the sale of SCREENED & UNSCREENED topsoil, and/or for the drop off of organic materials. In the spring and fall, we highly recommend that you call the Scale House at (607) 795-7211 to ensure that we are open, PRIOR to coming.

Mining Complaints
Black Gold currently conducts NYS DEC approved mining operations in two locations: one in the Town of Big Flats, NY on County Route 10 (South Corning Road) and the other in the Town of Southport, behind Bradley Farms on lower Maple Avenue.
Mining Permits are posted at each mine site and Black Gold strives to conduct mining operations in accordance with all Federal, State and Local laws and practices.
If you feel that Black Gold is not acting in accordance with these laws and practices, or if you feel that our operations are causing an undesired situation, we encourage you to bring the matter to our attention so that we can promptly address it and take any corrective action(s) necessary for an amicable resolve.
We strongly believe that there is a solution to every problem.

We are in high hopes that we can work with you as a good neighbor to quickly resolve ANY negative circumstances that we have overlooked and created. During our regular business hours one of us should be available at the time of your call. However, in the unlikely event that we are not, I assure you that we will get back to you as soon as humanly possible.
Obviously we will also accept complaints via fax or US Mail, but we believe that calling will provide you with the desired results much faster.
Response Time:
During our open season (late April through October) we will respond to your complaint within one business day from the time that we receive your call. Please note that it is more than likely that it will take additional time to resolve your complaint, but we will at least acknowledge that we have received it and discuss the solutions/action(s) we hope to take.
