Black Gold has two locations to serve you -- Our main location is in Big Flats, and we also have a topsoil pit for commercial customers on Elmira's Southside.

Our Big Flats(HQ/Main Location)Pit is closed for the season EXCEPT FOR THE DROP OFF OF ORGANIC MATERIALS on Saturdays, from 8 AM to Noon, through November 19, 2011. Product sales will resume in the spring of 2012

- From Route 17 / Interstate 86 take Exit #48
- Follow the signs for Route 352 East (towards Elmira)
- Travel straight on Route 352 East for approximately 2 miles.
- Turn right onto the South Corning Rd./County Route 10. (Note: There is a large town-house development called “Bottcher’s Landing” on the far corner and a big white barn on the other corner.)
- After traveling approximately a half mile on the South Corning Rd./County Route 10 you’ll go over a large bridge that crosses the river.
Once you cross the bridge the main entrance will be the second driveway on your right, immediately after the large Black Gold sign. |

It contains samples of our products that you can view 24 Hours a day & 7 Days a week. |

NOTE: This is an ACTIVE MINE SITE! No one should enter the mine site/retail area without permission. For your safety and the safety of our workers be sure to use the two-way radio (small booth on your left as you come into our main entrance) to let us know that you’re here and how we can help you. This will also enable us to serve you faster.
Black Gold’s Hurley Mine

Current Hours of Operation: Weather and soil conditions permitting, our Elmira location is open Spring, Summer and Fall, Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3PM for the sale of SCREENED & UNSCREENED topsoil, as well as for the drop off of organic material. Please contact the scale house at (607)795-7211 to check on soil conditions.
NOTE: This mine is open for topsoil sales exclusivley to our COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS and commercial dump trucks that are legally able to carry a minimum of 7,000 pounds (3.5 tons / 3 cu yards) per truckload!
ABSOLUTELY no pickup trucks, small capacity trailers, etc., will be loaded from the Hurley Pit Location!
The Hurley Mine is located in the Town of Southport, off Maple Ave behind Bradley Farms. It is past Cedar Street and before the town of Wellsburg.

From Rt 17:
- Take the Elmira Exit
- Turn left onto the Clemens Center Parkway (NY-14)
- Take the Clemens Center Parkway (NY-14) to Cedar St (NY-427)
- Turn east on Cedar Street
- At "T" turn right onto Maple Ave (NY-427).
- Stay on Maple Ave for 0.3 miles until you see Bradley Farms on your left.
- Go into the far entrance of the parking lot and continue straight. The topsoil pit is behind Bradley Farms, follow the topsoil signs as you go.
